This is also known as “The Golden Rule”, although there is another version of “The Golden Rule”, which runs - “He who has the gold makes the rules.”
It is a direct quotation by Jesus from the Old Testament (Jewish Testament) laws set out in Leviticus 19:18. It was quoted by Jesus of Nazareth and described by him as the second great commandment. The common English phrasing is "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Link
